Paul Blattman has been in the industry for over fifty years beginning as a school boy riding track work for his father Reginald Blattman starting off his career as a stable hand then progressing to assistant manager at Roseneath Stud before starting his own business leasing Silver Sharpe Lodge. Purchasing his own property at Oakdale only to be approached to Manage Shipton Lodge Cobbitty which he did until sold in 2004 when Whispering Pines Thoroughbreds at Oakdale was then established.

Paul has established himself as one of the thoroughbred industry’s elite horseman and is recognised as one of the country’s best horse breakers.

Champions Samantha Miss, Pierro and Trapeze Artist are just three of the many outstanding horses to begin their education at Whispering Pines Thoroughbreds. Other noted performers to have passed through Paul’s hands include Encounter, Referral, Platinum Scissors, Mouawad, Catbird, Research, Filante, Dance Hero, Excellerator, Prowl, Burst and Fiorente.
